Gee, a nickname for Josie, is a gem broker, who often helps facilitate the transactions when Debra buys gemstones in Kenya. The Gee Ring is hand-crafted with recycled 18-karat gold, and features one untreated, Tenda Cut, natural orange color spessartine garnet; and seven sand pave diamonds. Each Gee setting is custom made to cradle its individual gemstone.

Garnet weighs approximately 3.03 carats, diamonds 0.07 carat.

Made in USA with imported materials.

The colored gemstones from the Watu Collection are hand-selected by Debra from ethical sources in Africa. Each piece of Debra Navarro is truly one of a kind. Stone sizes, shapes, colors, and placement may vary from the image pictured.

Five-percent of your purchase will benefit Gem Legacy; helping East African mining communities thrive through investments in education, vocational training, and local economies.

What does Made in USA with imported materials mean?

All of the jewelry we show on this site was designed, engineered, and manufactured (mostly by hand) in the USA. We use recycled gold for our jewelry and this refining process is done in the USA, however the gold content could originally be from anywhere, so we can’t call it a domestic product. Similarly, the diamonds we use are supplied in parcels (multiple diamonds in one package), and can be from different places. Most of the colored gemstones we use are sourced from artisanal mines in East Africa, mainly Kenya and Tanzania.
